Being pulled this way and that way!

This is not my idea of fun!  When there are so many things to do I have a tendency to shut down until I can breathe and then I take it by the horns, but I'm having a hard time finding those horns.  There is so much to do within the next 3 weeks that I think I need to cry.  I am literally stressing about everything!  And normally I don't.  I usually stress about a couple of things but lately it has even been about what I'm going to wear.  My mind literally does not shut off at night!  To top it off my hubby had a 4 day weekend and not a single thing got done.  We spent 2 full days away from our house so that didn't help matters much.  Then yesterday poor hubby was sick.  Can I just please get a reprieve?  I am so far from perfect yet I've had a few people tell me that I'm supermom and that they can't believe that I do so much.  Well first I'm not supermom.  Somedays are better than others but I'm a busy body and have to keep going.  My kids are pretty well behaved and listen fairly well yet there are days that I want to lock myself in a closet!  Second, if i was a supermom...I'd have time to work out!  I don't.  With my hubby being gone 12-14 hours a day, everything falls on me.  So I either get up early in the morning, which I hate to do, and work out or I don't at all.  Then if I wake up early, I'm so tired at the end of the night that my hubby doesn't get any quality time.  Life with three kids has been a transition.

Wow. I have no idea where I'm going with this.  It has turned more into a complaining post than anything.  Maybe it'll help me now that I've vented.  Or not.  Maybe I need a girls night out.  That would only be possible though if I had a few girlfriends.  Hmm life is interesting sometimes but I'll make it through!

So I promised this yesterday but

I fell asleep.  I mean I do have a 2 month old and I was tired so that is my excuse.  Anyways I was going to lay it all out so here we go.

Goals for 2011

  • Workout everday 3 times a week!  I have had three kids now and things have changed.  My weight hasn't really been an issue (except when I was stressing about my husband while on deployment.  That is when I got my heaviest at 170!) But things have changed.  I'm currently 154 pounds, 5'7", and wear a size 10/12.  I now have hips and bigger and saggier boobs (thank you gravity)!  I'm not going to workout to lose weight as I don't care if I stay at 154 pounds or not.  I'm in it for tightening up my mid-section.  That is the only place I care about.  I guess I've been blessed with killer legs and nice arms and a butt that doesn't want to sag so this is the only place I want to work on.  Plus the benefits of a tight mid-section are better posture which inturn leads to a healthier back!  These are all things I need chasing 3 boys around.  Plus the endorphin release wouldn't be so bad.
  • Payoff the credit card.  If I can only do one thing this year this would be it.  And we are going to do it the Dave Ramsey way.
  • Graduate college in July.  This is inevitable but none the less still a goal.  I would have been done a long time ago if I didn't switch my major 3 times!
  • To stop living in CHAOS! This stands for Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome.  Now my house is fairly clean everyday but I want more. So thanks to FlyLady (www.flylady.net) I am working on my control journal.  I highly suggest you do it as well because if you are a SAHM you know how hard life can be.  And if I can get this control journal in order as well it will help tremendously especially if we decide to homeschool!
  • Attend church every Sunday regardless if my hubby is there.  This will be my biggest struggle as now Steve will have two drill weekends a month.  I'm going to need to rely on people who want to help me while there.  Good thing I'm motivated, right?
  • Stay on my hubby's behind to get his classes done so he can get accepted into a commissioning program.

So far these are my goals and I know there will be slip ups.  I want to do this to provide inspiration to anyone who needs it. Plus I now have something to be accountable to!  Cheers!

So I was going to finally...

Post about our events with the pictures on my camera...BUT....I have packed it away with all of our other cameras to take with when I go into labor.  Great.  Just great!  So instead I'll just ramble about things.  Lets start with Aaden.

Aaden is officially potty trained!  Woo-hoo.  We never pressured but did do bribing when need be.  He pretty much decided when he wanted to do it.  They say potty training your kid is more about training the adult.  That is for sure.  I wanted him to be fully trained at 3 but he didn't want to so I just said heck with it and sat back until it happened.  Well it did happen just shortly after his 4th birthday and he's been a champ ever since.  He is very animated and comes up with the funniest sayings.  Love it.  Should start writing them down.  He's in swimming lessons and dance.  He loves both but has his days where he doesn't want to go.  So if he doesn't want to go...we don't.  But the majority of the time he wants to go.

Landon is still my baby.  I think he is going to have the hardest time adjusting to everything when the new baby comes!  He is my snuggler.  I love it.  I know that I'm going to have to be creative when this baby comes to make sure he still feels important.  He definitely can take things very personal some times.  And he's only 2.  He still isn't talking but is trying.  He understands what we are saying to him and is very interactive.  He also just prefers to sit down and look at a book and act it out.  He definitely has his moments where reading a book he will sit down to listen but the majority of the time he could care less. He wants to hold that book.  He is stubborn but looks up to his brother.  Ohhhh just thinking about him makes me want to squeeze him he is that lovable.

Steve is...well...busy.  All. The. Time.  Work takes up a lot of his time.  And when he isn't at work, his phone is going off with text messages or calls from someone.  Gets quite annoying after awhile!  But c'est la vie.  We have Navy Ball this weekend. It is the annual event of the Navy's Birthday.  Not looking forward to going at 38 weeks pregnant but I don't want to stay home either.  Other than that he is just Steve.  Always doting upon the boys and the dog, making sure his people are taken care of, and just genuinely a good person all the time.  Love it.

Me.  Hmmm what about me?  Well I'll be 38 weeks on Saturday.  Woo-hoo.  Been having really good pressure waves all week long.  Hoping that this kid decides to make his debut before Halloween.  Also not too excited about this weekend more so cause of the comments I'm gonna get from all the drunk Sailors freaking out that I may go into labor on the dance floor. *Cue dramatic Hollywood labor scene* Plus I'm hoping my dress fits.  It is one I wore last year and I'm hoping it does.  I really don't want to go buy another one.  I'm also hoping that the food is good or I'm going to be unhappy.

So other than that we just live life.  I enjoy being at home with the kids.  I'm trying to get all my cloth diapers done before this little one arrives.  That way I can focus on Christmas gifts.   I'm almost done with my newborns and if I just sit down and do it...it gets done pretty fast.  I should be done with them completely today and then I'll start on my smalls.  Woo-hoo.  But first we have swimming lessons. Oh and laundry!

Update time

Well it has been awhile since I've posted! We have moved into our new home and it is awesome!  We are still unpacking boxes.  It seems to never end and we have so much stuff!  I think it is time to get rid of a lot of items!  I'd post pictures  but I can't find my SD card reader!  If it isn't one thing it is another.  The boys are doing well.  I think Aaden is finally comfortable in his new environment so we are going to potty train starting tomorrow.  Hopefully he'll stick with it!  Landon is doing well also.  He is so smart!  He's attempting to say some words but is pretty content with just walking and playing and eating!  On another note...we are going to look at German Shepherd puppies today.  They will be available to bring home on Christmas Eve!  I'm so excited!  Besides us wanting more children we feel there is something missing from our family!  I believe that is an animal.  I've been wanting a dog ever since we decided we were going to buy a house!  I think it'll help Aaden as well.  He is very fearful of big dogs and I think if he is around one that is small and then grows big it'll help him understand them more!  We will see!

So I get a text today from my husband saying he is going to the ER.  This crackhead thinks he is 20 still.  He was playing basketball and got an elbow to the eye trying to block!  Needless to say his eye got cut open and he is currently at the ER getting stitches!  Great!  I knew it was only a matter of time before an ER visit was for him.  Hopefully his eye doesn't swell too much and it heals quickly!  Other than that nothing is going on too much.  It's pretty quiet.  Hopefully this weekend we find things so I can post some pics!

Musings

So we still haven't closed on our house!  Bummer.  Hopefully today.  We'll see.  On another note my son deleted all the pictures off my camera so I've lost all our house building pictures. Can't blame the kid for wanting to play with something in plain site.  I'm sick of hearing about this swine flu.  I have to work this weekend and we have the Navy Birthday ball on Saturday night.  Normally I'm excited but with all this drama over closing I'm just annoyed by it all.  My grandmothers car got stolen right in front of her house.  She started came back in to grab her purse and they drove off with it.  They were watching her.  Creepy people.  I feel so bad.  I wish I was more  aware when it happened and I could have ran out after the truck that was transporting the thieves and got a license plate.  I just feel terrible.  Umm my hubby is trying to convince me to have another baby.  Needless to say I'm not ready!  I want another one but I want to be a little more financially prepared since we will have this one at home and so we will have to come with out of pocket expenses before we file a claim with our insurance. On top of that I want to take a few classes.  School starts on Monday for me again.  They cancelled my psychology course but luckily I was able to take another class.  I have two easy classes this semester which is nice since we are moving into our house.  I wish I had a picture to post but oh well.

What a week!

So this past Saturday and Sunday was my first time as a Drilling Reservist. You know...weekend warrior! Well any ways it was boring! I sat through indoc and was bored. I have worked with the Reserve community for the past 5 years so all of this was old hat! Then on Sunday I got sick! And I mean sick. I ate at the U of U cafeteria and about 15 minutes in I started feeling nauseous! Well it progressed and I ended up in the ER. Nasty! They think it was a bug of somesort...a.k.a. FOOD POISONING! I'm still not feeling all that well but I'm getting better! And so this has been recovery week! I had my hair done yesterday and I love it! It has been too long! Well that is all for now as we are to be heading off to Steve's work party! Yeah! Not really but whatever! Ciao!
